"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." 1 Corinthians 10:13
I knew of a young person who could not figure out what faith was. "I've known the word nearly all my life" she said "but I just can't figure out how to give the word action." She wanted faith to be something real, something tangible, something she could see. Faith in Christ is not just simply a blind faith, though we are called to follow Him blindly (not in the sense of just closing our eyes and walking, but in the sense of just simply doing what He says without knowing what will happen on the other side.) "(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)" 2 Corinthians 5:7 But we should follow Him in evidential proof! The world, the universe, stars, sky and every living thing is proof of a creator. There's no doubt in anyone's mind that we STARTED. Creation is proof of a creator.
But how do you put faith into action? Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." the word substance means "the real physical matter of which a person or thing consists and which has a tangible, solid presence." In other words, Faith is real, it's physical and it's solid. Faith is not simply believing the impossible, faith is seeing your hope come alive. Faith is being certain that it will happen. To put your faith into Christ is to put your knowledge into truth. To put faith into Christ is to make your understanding of uncertainties, certain! Without faith in Christ, you are literally ignoring factual evidence in front of your face. Faith is an action, not just a mindset. Faith works! You do not need to work for your faith, but faith will work for you! It displays your trust in what you put your faith in.
Now you CAN put your faith in the wrong things, those things, in the end, will fall apart. But anyone who has ever put their complete trust and faith into Christ has never seen their worldview fall apart. Christ's foundation is the firmest this life has to offer so when we go through trials and sins in our life, whether we are faithful to God or not, God is always faithful to keep His foundation firm and to do what needs to be done. He is faithful to help you accomplish His will.
