"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" Numbers 23:19
Have you ever heard the say "That's the God's honest truth"? Lying is a serious thing. We often don't take lies seriously when we tell them but when others tell them it hurts us immensely. We don't like it when others lie about us. Even more so, we don't like it when others manipulate us to get their way or to lead us astray. Many people will do this to try and prove some sort of perception that most of the time they, themselves, believe. The problem is, is they believe in their own lies.
If enough people believe a lie it starts to look like a truth. Satan is good at that. The lie of evolution has been rampant for years and Satan has enough people to believe in this lie that it can now be easily mistaken as truth, if you don't know what to believe. God takes lying very seriously, and even those that believe in the lie are without excuse. "A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish." Proverbs 19:9 How sad that so many fall victim to this simple concept. Far too many cannot discern the lies from the truth. I've always told my students and those that read any of my thoughts, never take what I say as absolutes. Only take what God's Word says as true. My life verse is Romans 3:3-4 and in it, it says "...Let God be true but every man a liar..."
How much easier our life would be if we would believe in the absolute truth of God. God cannot lie. If He could, He would seize to be God. Satan is the only one that can lie about who he is and what he does and he is very good at making others believe it. John 8:44 has this to say about Satan "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." Don't fall for his traps any longer. Bring yourself ahead of it and find the truth in God who has never steered a single soul wrong.
If it doesn't add up to His Word, you can bet your bottom dollar it's a lie. His Word can only line up with absolute truth so you can be confident when you trust in Him.
